In the fifth year of Institutional Investor’s West Coast RIA Investment Forum, we are setting our sights overseas with a special focus on the investment opportunities and risks presented by the global markets. In the current tumultuous global landscape, between geopolitical risks, central bank actions and volatility in the equity markets RIAs are struggling to meet the needs of their clients. With robo-advisors threatening to entice a huge pool of new, younger clients, RIAs must establish and communicate an investment edge to justify fees and grow their businesses. Over the course of 1.5 days, senior executives from the country’s leading independent RIAs and the RIA Institute’s supporting members will discuss the benefits that global opportunities can add to a portfolio and the ones which can differentiate your firm’s investment line up and provide returns to your clients. Through panel discussions, breakout groups, workshops and expert guest presentations, we aim to uncover where RIAs should be looking and where the greatest risks are.
If you are interested in being considered for an invitation please contact Ann Cornish, Audience Director, at +1 (212) 224-3877 or at email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Asset Allocation 2.0: Offense or Defense?
On January 24-25 in San Francisco, we will present the latest, best thinking on the ways that North American pension funds and US endowments and foundations can meet the challenges of – and take advantage of the opportunities presented by – a volatile global investment landscape, one in which the opportunities are present but possibly more segmented, harder to find than before but one in which the risks are dramatic and pervasive.
To inquire about attending Risk & Liquidity — there is no registration fee for those who are invited to attend, although delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodations — please contact: Katarina Storfer at (212) 224-3073 or email@example.com.
