THE SHIFTING SANDS OF SUB-ADVISORY - NAVIGATING THE RAPIDLY CHANGING INDUSTRY
As the saying goes, the only constant is change, and that especially rings true for the world of asset management. It has no doubt evolved into an industry that is rapidly changing and overhaul-prone compared to the relative staidness of how it operated decades ago. Changing demographics, changing environments, changing priorities, and changing technologies are all laying siege to a sector that was once used to delivering stable and dependable returns.
Sub-advisory, as a specialized sector within this changing world, is thus bearing witness to all these changes on the vanguard. We are seeing the shifting sands under the industry impacting all facets of how we operate. From the rise of new fund structures and sub-advisory relationship models to the creation of new product platforms, from the advent of new investment strategies in place of the tired old gospels to exciting new ideas and geographies to explore, from the way how sub-advisory gatekeepers view managers’ operations to how they view their own, all is on the table for discussion. Join us at the 2021 West Coast Roundtable to hear experts and peers on industry-wide conversations that you won’t want to miss out on.

About The Sub-Advisory Institute

The Sub-Advisory Institute is a private membership organization for buyers of sub-advisory services and manager research, selection & oversight executives representing mutual fund companies, OCIOs, insurance firms, retirement platforms, and other asset managers which out-source. Through expert-led panel discussions, presentations, guest speakers and live market research, each of our two annual events will bring together leading participants in the sub-advisory landscape to assess how the investment objectives of institutions are changing and how firms that offer sub-advised strategies can respond to these needs.
